Shannon Lindauer moved to New Mexico from Washington DC with her wife, Jennifer, in 2017. Shannon owns a successful consulting company supporting small business government contractors across the country. Shannon has worked in the defense and intelligence sector for 22 years, her third career.
Prior to this, she worked in the non-profit sector including for the National Human Trafficking Resource Center, the Center for Research of the Global South at American University and the YWCA (second career). Shannon is a U.S. Air Force veteran and served as an Armed Forces Radio broadcaster in the south Pacific. She parlayed this experience into a 15 year career in commercial radio as a DJ in Sacramento, CA and in Guam.
Shannon holds an M.A. in International Relations/Genocide Studies and a B.A. in International Relations.
Shannon and Jennifer live in Sandia Park on 15 acres where they have a non-profit animal sanctuary Fat Dog Ranch. Shannon’s special needs brother lives with them and helps care for their 58 animals.
