I am thrilled to be a part of the Turquoise Trail Charter School Community again this year as the Speech Language Pathologist. This is my second year working here, but I have been a happy parent in the TTCS community since 2018, with my own children in 1st grade and PreK. I began working in the Santa Fe Public Schools in 2011, taking 5 years off to be a stay at home mom when my son was born.
My husband and I have lived in Santa Fe since 2011, moving here from Wyoming, where I received my Masters in Communication Disorders from the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Prior to returning to school to continue our education, we lived for many years in the beautiful mountain town of Jackson, WY, snowboarding, cross country skiing, fly fishing, and bouldering to our heart’s content. I received my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Food and Nutrition from Loyola University Chicago in 1999, where I enjoyed the city life and all of the culture within it. I grew up in Ft. Benning, GA, not as the typical military family moving every few years, but actually living there for 13 years! Life has taken me to many wonderful and beautiful places, from the humid South to the Midwest, to the vast and mountainous West and Pacific Northwest, and now, the Southwest, which has proven to be a spectacular setting.
I enjoy raising my family here, where we live in La Cienega, surrounded by hundred year old cottonwoods, farms, and acequias. I love gardening, playing the piano, baking, camping, fly fishing, throwing the ball for my senior dapple dachshund, Ollie, and raising 8 chickens.
