HOMESCHOOLING V. NOT HOMESCHOOLING AT TTCS 2020-21

In our new environment, you may be considering homeschooling instead of keeping your child enrolled at TTCS. At TTCS, teachers are conducting classes in a predictable schedule online each day (synchronous instruction), while recording and posting those classes so that students who are not able to participate online during prescribed class times are able to access the class content and assessment(s) (asynchronous instruction).

In order to keep in accordance with state law while offering as much flexibility as possible to families, we are using the following parameters to facilitate the decision-making process:

In order to remain enrolled at TTCS, the family must agree to the following conditions:

  1. Student attendance must be done reliably and daily

  2. Our curriculum must be used as the baseline; supplemental materials of course may be used at home

  3. Students must participate in all TTCS assessments, both those required by teachers and those required by the school and/or state

  4. Students must make themselves available to meet with teachers when remediation is required

If a student withdraws from TTCS in order to be homeschooled, they lose their spot at school and their reporting district changes to Santa Fe Public Schools.
